Job summary

Griffith Foods Inc. in Alsip, IL is hiring a Quality System Tech (A) for second shift (Mon–Fri, 2:00–10:30pm) with an annual compensation of $43,074–$64,610 plus overtime. The role provides lab and technical support to Manufacturing and Quality Systems, conducting tests and reporting results.

You will perform tests, review BOMs, document data in the LIMS, and ensure compliance with GMP/GLP. English communication and MS Office/LIMS proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Food Science/Chemistry or associate degree with 2 years relevant experience.
• At least 6 months lab/QA/testing in a food company.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• MS Office and LIMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform sensory, physical, and chemical tests on finished products to meet specifications.
• Evaluate BOM for completeness and proper documentation.
• Record test data and maintain laboratory work list in LIMS for timely release.
• Report nonconformance with corrective actions in LIMS.
• Inspect manufacturing and storage equipment and sanitation cleaning.
