Job summary

Griffith Foods is seeking a Mixing Operator for our production team on the third shift, onsite in Alsip, Illinois. The role operates and loads mixing equipment, follows GMP/HAACP, and troubleshoots production machinery to meet quality standards.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds, read and follow instructions in English, and work overtime as needed. Salary starts at $23.18/hr with a 10% shift differential and potential progression.

Qualifications

• Ability to regularly lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Ability to do basic arithmetic in all units of measure.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics AX or RedZone.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• On-site work at Alsip, Illinois location.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate production equipment.
• Verify and ensure accurate counts of raw materials.
• Add raw materials to the blender per the formula.
• Discharge blended product from the blender as per screen size.
• Follow customer sampling requirements for blended product.
• Complete daily schedule control documenting production, quality, and performance.
• Clean and sanitize production equipment and tools and work area.
• Dispose of trash and garbage containers.
• Safely lift up to 50 lbs during the shift.
• Support BRC audit requirements and maintain safety and quality standards.
