Job summary

Jabil is hiring a Quality Supervisor for the Salt Lake City area, 2nd shift (3:00 PM–11:30 PM). You will lead Quality Inspectors, drive quality performance, and develop training to meet customer and company standards. Bachelor's degree preferred and 3-5 years of manufacturing leadership are expected.

Role emphasizes coaching, process compliance, and continuous improvement, with strong focus on safety, quality metrics, and team engagement.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years of supervisory/leadership experience in manufacturing/quality environment.
• Experience with quality inspection processes and ISO 9001 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of Quality Inspectors and other staff.
• Recruit, train, coach, and develop Quality team members.
• Monitor team performance and provide ongoing feedback and development.
• Develop and maintain training programs to meet customer and company requirements.
• Coordinate staffing and scheduling to meet production and quality objectives.
• Train and qualify inspectors to customer-specific quality standards and inspection requirements.
• Monitor quality and productivity metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical support on inspection-related issues.
• Support 5S and workplace organization initiatives.
• Promote culture of quality, accountability, teamwork, and employee engagement.
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements and safety standards.

How will you make an impact?

The Quality Supervisor is responsible for leading and developing Quality Inspectors while ensuring internal and external customer requirements are consistently met. This role drives quality performance through effective team leadership, training, process compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives that support operational excellence.

How will you get here?

Education

High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field preferred.

Experience

• 3-5 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing, quality, or related environment.
• Experience leading teams in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Experience with quality inspection processes and quality systems preferred.
• Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
• Knowledge of quality inspection methods, quality standards, and best practices.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to analyze data and drive process improvements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality-related documentation systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in quality inspection, quality systems, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements and quality management systems.
