Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Production Supervisor for Salt Lake City to lead a manufacturing workcell, ensure safe and efficient operations, and drive continuous improvement. The role emphasizes people development, process optimization, and adherence to quality standards within a high‑volume production environment.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and at least three years of maintenance management experience, with hands-on expertise in SPC and line balancing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred.
• Three years’ experience in maintenance management or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience in process optimization and manufacturing.
• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control and quality methods.
• Experience with Design for Manufacturability and Design for Test.
• Experience with Demand Flow Technology and line balancing.

Responsibilities

• Monitor team turnover and identify factors to improve; implement changes.
• Identify individual and team strengths and development needs on an ongoing basis.
• Establish clear measurable goals to determine results (timelines, attendance, development).
• Solicit ongoing feedback from Workcell Manager, Business Unit Manager, peers, and team members.
• Provide ongoing coaching and counseling based on feedback.
• Drive continuous improvement in key operational metrics and goals.

Job Profile Title: Production Supervisor Location/ Division Specific Information Salt Lake I Granstville

How will you make an impact?

• Monitor team member turnover; identify key factors that can be improved; make improvements.
• Identify individual and team strengths and development needs on an ongoing basis.
• Establish clear measurable goals and objectives by which to determine individual and team results (i.e. results against project timelines, training documentation, attendance records, knowledge of operational roles and responsibilities, personal development goals).
• Solicit ongoing feedback from Workcell Manager (WCM), Business Unit Manager (BUM), peers and team member on the PE team member’s contribution to the workcell.
• Provide ongoing coaching and counseling to team member based on feedback.
• Drive individuals and the team to continuously improve in key operational metrics and the achievement of the organizational goals.
• Develops and maintains all department reports/records.
• Supervises the planning and execution of line moves and builds.
• Assure that procedures and work instructions are efficient and not redundant.
• Offer new ideas and suggestions for improvement.
• Identify and implement new practices and processes that are “best in field.”

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred; and three years’ experience in maintenance management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

Hands‑on experience and knowledge, process optimization, Statistical Process Control, Design for Manufacturability, Design for Test, Demand Flow Technology (line balancing Design).
