Job Summary
The Quality Supervisor oversees a team of Quality Training Specialists to execute activities required to meet IES training and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Quality Manager to establish company-wide quality procedures, standards, and specifications for all business units.
- Define and train quality procedures to the team and operations staff.
- Review reports completed by the team to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Ensure that manufacturer specifications are met.
- Proactively look for ways to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
- Set up and maintain controls and documentation procedures.
- Monitor performance by gathering relevant data and producing recommendations.
- Make suggestions for changes and improvements and lead implementation.
- Use relevant quality tools to ensure managers and staff understand how to improve the business.
- Monitor the team to confirm effective work.
- Serve as a customer advocate.
- Mentor team members to achieve professional and personal goals.
- Other duties as assigned.
Salary: Min USD $64,000.00/Yr. Max USD $82,000.00/Yr.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of three (3) years of training experience or related role.
- At least five (5) years of project management experience in telecommunications, electrical, or a related technical or construction field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Leadership and positive example in policy, quality, safety, employee, ethical, and customer satisfaction attitudes.
- Ability to work non‑standard schedules for training and travel within branch or regional territory as needed (estimated 50% travel).
- Must be able to climb ladders, use hand and power tools, and lift 50 pounds.
- Self‑motivated, positive, professional, and capable of leading project process improvement initiatives.
- Proven problem‑solving, critical‑thinking, and communication (reading, writing, oral presentation) skills.
- High skill level interpreting blueprints, specifications, reporting, and quality requirements.
- Prefer BICSI trainer certification; BICSI Technician certification also desirable.
- Knowledge of job costing, planning, quality management, safety training, and contract administration.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project).
- Good knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and numerical and statistical analysis.
- Familiarity with instructional design and adult learning theory (preferred).
- Ability to determine required tools and equipment for a job.
- Maintain technical knowledge through workshops, publications, and education.
- Must meet company minimum driving standards.
