Job summary

IES is seeking a Quality Training Specialist to develop trade-related curricula, deliver training, and conduct quality audits for IES projects. This role includes on-site support, classroom instruction, and evaluating training effectiveness.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of training experience, strong project management skills in telecom or construction, and proficiency with MS Office and MS Project. Travel within the region may be required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of training experience or a related role.
  • Prefer a minimum of 5 years of project management experience in telecommunications, electrical, or a related technical or construction field.
  • Prefer a BICSI certified trainer.
  • Must have demonstrated knowledge of job costing, job planning, quality management, safety training, and contract administration.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project).
  • Must meet company minimum driving standards.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of instructional design and adult learning theory is preferred.
  • Must be able to effectively use basic hand tools, including screwdriver, level, tape measure, snips, pliers, wrench, needle‑nose and channel locks, and other construction tools.
  • Highly knowledgeable of materials, methods, and tools involved in the commercial construction industry.
  • Ability to determine the required tools and equipment for a job.
  • Good knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and their application.
  • Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing publications.
  • Working knowledge of construction processes, including bid process, project management, delegation, and finance.

  • Implement training processes and best practices that add value and improve business performance.
  • Keep personal knowledge, training, and proficiency on installed products and course materials up to date.
  • Work with the training team to design, implement, and revise training programs.
  • Ensure a safe and pleasant learning environment for staff and students.

Job Summary

The Quality Training Specialist will be responsible for trade‑related curriculum development and training for new and existing IES teams, conducting quality audits, and providing on‑site support to IES projects.

Compensation

Minimum: USD $40,000.00 per year | Maximum: USD $50,000.00 per year

  • Must possess proven problem‑solving, critical thinking, reading, writing, and oral presentation skills.
  • Must have a high skill level to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including specifications, reporting, and quality requirements.
  • Must be able to travel within the branch or regional territory as needed.
  • Must possess the ability to learn and teach the company’s and customer’s project management systems.
