Job Summary

The Quality Training Specialist will be responsible for trade‑related curriculum development and training for new and existing IES teams, quality audits and on‑site support to IES projects.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and provide trade‑related, project management and delivery training in the classroom, including hand‑on demonstrations, handouts, tests, design exercises and presentation outlines.
  • Develop pre‑employment trade‑related job skill assessments (hands‑on and written).
  • Prepare employees to accomplish job results by planning, conducting and evaluating management training.
  • Conduct training needs assessments by collecting information on work procedures, workflows and reports, and understanding job‑specific functions and tasks.
  • Deliver training classes using software applications, computers, virtual classrooms, webinars and other methods as required.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness for specific job applications and administer written and practical exams.
  • Write performance reports to evaluate trainee performance.
  • Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Implement training processes and best practices that add value and improve business performance.
  • Maintain personal knowledge, training and proficiency on installed products and course materials.
  • Work with the training team to design and implement new programs and revise old programs.
  • Ensure a safe and pleasant learning environment for staff/students.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of training experience or related role.
  • Preferable 5 years of project management experience in telecommunications, electrical or related construction fields.
  • Prefer BICSI certified trainer.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of job costing, planning, quality management, safety training and contract administration.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of instructional design and adult learning theory practices.
  • Effective use of basic hand tools such as screwdriver, level, tape measure, snips, pliers, wrench, voltage tester, etc.
  • Knowledge of construction materials, methods and tools used in commercial construction.
  • Proficiency in arithmetic, algebra and geometry and their application to project work.
  • Drive record meeting company standards.
Physical and Mental Requirements
  • Operate as a team member of management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Lead by positive example on policy, quality, safety, employee, ethical and customer satisfaction attitude.
  • Work a non‑standard work schedule to provide job‑specific training.
  • Climb ladders, use hand and power tools, and lift 50 pounds.
  • Self‑motivated, positive, professional and lead others to develop and implement process improvements.
  • Promote company culture and mission to employees, vendors, clients and partners.
  • Proven problem‑solving, critical thinking and oral presentation skills.
  • Interpret blueprints and project documents, including specifications and quality requirements.
  • Travel within branch or regional territories as needed.
  • Learn and teach company and customer project management systems.
Salary

Min USD $71,000.00 /yr. Max USD $75,000.00 /yr.
