Akkar, a growing manufacturer serving highly regulated industries, seeks a Quality Supervisor to oversee daily quality operations, ensure compliance with industry standards, and drive continuous improvement.

You will work closely with leadership, engineering, operations, and suppliers to maintain a strong quality culture while ensuring products meet customer and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is hands-on with auditing, inspections, and QMS experience.

Qualifications

• Hands-on quality professional with auditing, inspections, and QMS experience.
• 4+ years in Quality Assurance/Quality Control in regulated manufacturing.
• Experience supporting AS9100 and ISO 9001 audits.
• Strong GD&T, blueprint reading, and inspection method knowledge.
• Proven problem-solving and team leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily quality assurance and quality control activities
• Perform and oversee inspections of fabricated, machined, and purchased components using drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements
• Support and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS)
• Lead and prepare for AS9100 and ISO 9001 internal and external audits
• Conduct supplier quality audits and support supplier quality improvement initiatives
• Review inspection reports, First Article Inspection Reports (AS9102), and quality documentation
• Analyze quality data, identify trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Partner with manufacturing and engineering teams to resolve quality-related issues
• Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and industry requirements
• Train employees on quality procedures, standards, and best practices
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with leadership, engineering, operations, and suppliers to maintain a strong quality culture while ensuring products consistently meet customer and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is a hands-on quality professional with experience in auditing, inspections, and quality management systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily quality assurance and quality control activities
• Perform and oversee inspections of fabricated, machined, and purchased components using drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements
• Support and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS)
• Lead and prepare for AS9100 and ISO 9001 internal and external audits
• Conduct supplier quality audits and support supplier quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or Quality Systems
• Experience supporting or leading AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 audits
• Experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)
• Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T, and inspection methodologies
• Proficiency with precision measuring equipment and inspection tools
• Experience reviewing and maintaining quality records and documentation
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and team leadership abilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Aerospace, defense, electronics, manufacturing, or other highly regulated industries
