Job summary

• 5+ years of quality experience in aerospace/defense or high-reliability manufacturing.
• Previous supervisory or team-lead experience in a Quality function.
• Proficiency with AS9100 and quality tools (SPC, FMEA, RCCA).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor quality inspectors across receiving, in-process, and final inspection.
• Drive AS9100 compliance and support customer-specific quality requirements.
• Lead MRB, CAPA, and root-cause/corrective action activities.
• Oversee First Article Inspection (FAI/AS9102) and non-conformance dispositioning.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing and Engineering to resolve defects and improve processes.
• Support internal audits, quality metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives (Lean / Six Sigma).

Quality Supervisor - Space & Defense Manufacturing

A leading advanced manufacturer supporting space, defense, radar, electronic warfare, and C5ISR programs is seeking an experienced Quality Supervisor to lead its inspection and quality assurance team. This company designs and builds highly engineered RF, antenna, and thermal management hardware for mission-critical applications across space, airborne, and maritime domains - and is growing fast following a recent merger backed by a major private equity partner.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a high-mix, high-reliability environment and wants real ownership over quality execution on the shop floor.

What You'll Do

• Supervise and mentor a team of quality inspectors across receiving, in-process, and final inspection
• Drive AS9100 compliance and support customer-specific quality requirements
• Lead MRB, CAPA, and root cause / corrective action activities
• Oversee First Article Inspection (FAI / AS9102) and non-conformance dispositioning
• Partner cross-functionally with Manufacturing and Engineering to resolve defects and improve processes
• Support internal audits, quality metrics/KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives (Lean / Six Sigma)

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years of quality experience in aerospace, defense, or high-reliability manufacturing
• Prior supervisory or team lead experience within a Quality function
• Strong working knowledge of AS9100 and quality tools (SPC, FMEA, RCCA)
• Ability to read technical drawings and interpret GD&T
• Comfortable with inspection equipment (micrometers, calipers, gauges, CMM, optical comparators)
• U.S. Person status required (ITAR/EAR environment)
