Job summary

Kensington360 in North Carolina is seeking a Quality Manager to lead site quality activities, drive compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001 and NADCAP, and serve as the key quality interface between customers, engineering, manufacturing and the supply chain.

You will own QA/QC procedures, manage non-conformances, support first article inspections, and lead RCCA with suppliers and customers while mentoring a small team.

Qualifications

  • 6–10 years in quality/QC or engineering within aerospace or advanced manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO9001, AS9100 and/or NADCAP requirements.
  • Experience with quality management systems, non-conforming material, RCCA and contract review.
  • Understanding of inspection methods and quality documentation.
  • Lean, Six Sigma or continuous improvement experience is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication interfacing with customers, suppliers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the site Quality SME across customer, internal and supplier quality requirements.
  • Lead and improve QA / QC procedures, systems and documentation.
  • Support ISO9001, AS9100D and NADCAP compliance activity.
  • Manage quality documentation, reports, corrective actions, non-conformances and revalidations.
  • Interface with engineering and manufacturing to flow down requirements.
  • Support first article inspections, process documentation and quality planning.
  • Lead RCCA activity with suppliers and customers.
  • Manage quality metrics, trends and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Drive a strong quality culture focused on prevention, root cause analysis and corrective action.
  • Supervise a small team across quality, shipping and receiving.

Job description

We are supporting a growing advanced manufacturing business that provides end-to-end metal manufacturing solutions across additive manufacturing, CNC machining and serial production.

The company works across highly regulated sectors including aerospace, defence, commercial launch, satellite communications and energy, delivering complex, high-integrity components for demanding customer programmes.

They are now looking for a Quality Manager to lead site quality activity, support AS9100 / ISO9001 / NADCAP compliance and act as the key quality interface between customers, engineering, manufacturing and the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the site Quality Subject Matter Expert across customer, internal and supplier quality requirements
  • Lead and improve QA / QC procedures, systems and documentation
  • Support ISO9001, AS9100D and NADCAP compliance activity
  • Manage quality documentation, reports, corrective actions, non-conformances and revalidations
  • Interface with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure customer requirements are properly flowed down
  • Support first article inspections, manufacturing process documentation and quality planning
  • Lead RCCA activity with suppliers and customers
  • Manage quality metrics, trends and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Drive a strong quality culture focused on prevention, root cause analysis and corrective action
  • Supervise a small team across quality, shipping and receiving
Ideal Background
  • 6–10 years of Quality, QA/QC or Engineering experience within aerospace or advanced manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of ISO9001, AS9100 and/or NADCAP requirements
  • Experience with quality management systems, non-conforming material, RCCA and contract review
  • Understanding of inspection methods and quality documentation
  • CMM programming / operation experience preferred
  • Lean, Six Sigma, 5S or continuous improvement experience beneficial
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interface with customers, suppliers and internal teams
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
