Aebi Schmidt Group is seeking a Quality Supervisor to oversee the overall product assurance program in support of Production Operations, Supplier Quality, Material Review and Quality Program Conformance in Landisville, PA. The role includes supervising Lead Auditors, conducting supplier audits, material review and corrective actions, and driving continuous improvement.

  • Associate degree or equivalent; Bachelor's in Engineering or Business preferred.
  • Knowledge of automotive quality requirements with broad manufacturing experience.
  • Supervisory skills in problem solving, prioritizing, personnel relations and decision making.
  • Experience with ISO/QS 9000 and QA practices such as SQA, QE, inspection.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Lead Auditors and contract help when needed.
  • Material Review and Corrective Action.
  • Supplier surveys, audits, and ongoing evaluation approvals.
  • Direct liaison with supplier base and audits according to production schedules.
  • Develop monthly reports showing inspection and audit performance.
  • Support production leads and operators for interpretation and methods.
  • Interpret and implement quality policies and guidelines.

What you’ll do:

SUMMARY:
TheQuality Supervisor position is responsible for overall productassurance program related to Quality in support of Production Operations,Supplier Quality, Material Review and Quality Program Conformance.Responsibilities include all aspects of managing resources for product lines,ensuring suppliers complies with contract quality requirements, promotecontinuous improvement of product quality through resolution of supplier and/orproduction discrepancy causes

JOBRESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Position is responsible to supervise Lead Auditors, with the potential forseveral auditors reporting to each Lead Auditor, and supervisoryresponsibilities include contract help
  • Material Review and Corrective Action
  • Supplier Surveys Audits and ongoing evaluation approvals
  • Direct liaison with supplier base
  • Direct audit activities commensurate toproduction schedules
  • Establish priorities and ensure maximum usageof assigned resources
  • Develop monthly reports showing inspection andaudit performance and improvement opportunities
  • Evaluate and recommend alternative auditingprocedures for continuous improvement
  • Support production leads and operators forinterpretation and methods following set standards
  • Maintain working production component’sknowledge and associate next tier application
  • Conduct meetings regularly with inspection andaudit team to help consistency in teamwork
  • Involve in team driven actions to helpimprovements
  • Interpret and supportquality policies and implement guidelines to ensure compliance with qualitystandards and documents
  • Ability to conceptualize complex principles and effects of change to supportdaily endeavors and understanding and solving problems
  • Able to process information mentally to respond as required during suppliermeetings or customer meetings or at presentations
What you need to be successful:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate degree or equivalent broad work experience to demonstrate fullcapability is required (Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business preferred)
  • Knowledge and understanding of automotive qualityrequirements with broad manufacturing experience
  • Supervisory skills in the areas of problem solving, prioritizing, personnelrelations and decision making
  • Overall knowledge of manufacturing of products related to the production linesuch such as; fabrications, castings, forging, precision machined components,stampings, etc.
  • Experience with the elements of ISO/QS 9000 and good commercial QA practicesand programs such as; SQA, QE, dimension inspection, production quality control
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing and the relationship to quality improvement
  • Clear understanding of quality system tools and standards
  • Strong and consistent attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with the ability to stay on task
  • Team oriented
  • Versatile, flexible, and a willingness to work within constantly changingpriorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards
  • Sound judgment with the ability to make timely decisions
