Job summary

The Aebi Schmidt Group is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing teams in a fast paced environment. You will focus on safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement across multiple product lines including specialty vehicles and chassis.

Strong leadership and hands‑on guidance are essential. Ideal candidates have at least 5 years of manufacturing leadership experience, an Associate/Technical degree, and a willingness to obtain a CDL if needed.

Qualifications

  • Associate or Technical degree required; Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years manufacturing leadership experience; vehicle assembly line experience in a leadership role preferred.
  • Clean driving record and possess a CDL, or be willing to obtain.
  • Positive attitude and proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Creative and innovative team player with strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills and experience with personnel management and shift oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct teams to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement goals.
  • Conduct team meetings to review plant performance and KPIs.
  • Train and mentor new associates in job functions and policy adherence.
  • Oversee scheduling, overtime, hiring, and training; manage staffing plans.
  • Ensure quality standards are met and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Monitor inventory, materials flow, and scrap to minimize waste.
  • Resolve issues with cross-functional teams (engineering, materials, purchasing, sales).
  • Drive 5S and improvement initiatives across the plant.

What you’ll do

SUMMARY: TheProduction Supervisor position is responsible for providing leadership anddirection to team members with a focus on safety, quality, productivity, andcontinuous improvement for company’s various product lines including, but notlimited to, emergency response bodies and chassis, motorhome chassis, specialtyvehicles, and Isuzu N-Gas

Job Responsibilities
  • Consistentlymodel a positive attitude and demonstrate a can do mindset
  • Conductsmall and large team meetings to communicate plant performance to the KPI’s
  • Train,or facilitate the training of new associates in all aspects of their jobfunction
  • Administerpolicies and procedures
  • Communicateand support strict adherence to quality standards
  • Ensurequality goals and objectives are met daily
  • Ensureefficient location of materials
  • Monitorscrap for undue waste
  • Preparereject tags as required, and manage this process per policy
  • Monitorand improve the management of inventory
  • Passionateabout improving safety, quality, delivery, and cost
  • Identifyroot cause and implement corrective action where gaps to the goals exist
  • Supportnew and current team member activities - hiring, performance, management, transfers, promotions, and disciplinary processes
  • Managevacation approvals, timecard approval, daily and weekly overtime, hiring, andtraining
  • Motivate,coach, reward, and discipline associates being supervised; resolve personnelissues
  • Maintaina high degree of visibility and access to associates on shop floor throughoutthe shift
  • Schedulework assignments to maximize production efficiency
  • Developand monitor staffing plans to execute the schedule on time at the planned MPUor better
  • Meetproduction goals
  • Maintaina clean and safe plant
  • Initiateprocess improvements
  • Support5S initiatives
  • Communicatewith cross-functional teams (engineering, materials, purchasing, sales,etcetera) to resolve issues
  • Workin proximity with customer as needed
  • Solvecomplex problems with minimal assistance
What you need to be successful

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate or Technical degree required (Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience with demonstrated leadership skills required (vehicle assembly line experience in a leadership role preferred)
  • Clean driving record and possess a CDL, or be willing to obtain
