Job summary

ASTEMO AMERICAS, INC. is seeking a Quality representative for the 2nd shift to lead quality initiatives and quickly address issues impacting production. You will communicate with Quality Engineers and management to escalate concerns and drive containment actions.

The role requires investigating internal and supplier-related quality problems, maintaining documentation, and performing part inspections and audits to prevent recurrence. Collaboration across departments is essential.

Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication across levels of the organization.

Job Family: Quality Management Job Description: Serve as the primary Quality representative on 2nd shift and provide direction when quality issues arise Communicate and elevate quality concerns to Quality Engineers, management and other appropriate personnel Investigate internal and supplier-related quality issues that may impact production Coordinate and support containment activities to ensure suspect or nonconforming material is properly identified and controlled Assist with tracking and tagging process or product change points Perform production audits and maintain required documentation Perform part inspections and analysis as needed Work closely with production and other departments to resolve quality concerns and prevent recurrence Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Preferred manufacturing or quality experience
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing process
  • Understand quality tools, inspection methods, and containment procedures
  • Experience with problem solving and root cause analysis
Skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate quality concerns, expectations, and required actions across multiple levels of the organization
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and quality concerns
  • Ability to provide direction and assistance to others as needed
  • Ability to investigate issues, identify concerns, and optimize appropriately
  • Self motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the manufacturing facility
  • Ability to frequently bend, stoop, reach and perform repetitive motions
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, moving equipment and varying temperatures
  • Ability to visually inspect parts and identify defects or abnormalities
  • Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE)
