Job summary

Advanced Personnel Resources is seeking a Quality Safety Manager to lead our client's quality and workplace safety programs in a manufacturing setting. This role drives continuous improvement, regulatory compliance, and corrective actions across all departments to ensure products meet customer requirements while maintaining a safe workplace.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in quality assurance, quality control, safety, or a related manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems and ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety compliance requirements.
• Experience with APQP, PPAP, SPC, First Article Inspection, corrective action, and root cause analysis.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, improve, and oversee the facility’s Quality Management System and related documentation.
• Serve as the plant’s management representative for applicable quality management standards and certification requirements.
• Coordinate and document management review meetings and report quality system performance to senior management.
• Plan, direct, and oversee internal quality audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
• Establish and monitor quality objectives, metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure products meet customer specifications, applicable standards, and internal quality requirements.
• Oversee testing, source inspection, in-process inspection, and final inspection activities.
• Manage nonconforming materials disposition and corrective actions.
• Coordinate cross-functional actions to address quality and safety issues.
• Develop and deliver safety training and maintain safety records.
