ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, Quality Auditor, Quality Manager and/or Six Sigma
We are seeking a Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager to lead and enhance plant-wide quality systems, food safety programs, and continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-paced plastics manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for driving a culture of quality, operational excellence, defect prevention, and customer satisfaction while ensuring compliance with SQF, HACCP, and food safety standards.
This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership position with more than 50% of time spent on the manufacturing floor working directly with production teams, quality personnel, and cross-functional partners to identify opportunities for improvement and implement sustainable solutions. The ideal candidate is an engaged leader who enjoys being in the operation, coaching employees, troubleshooting manufacturing processes, and leading by example.
The Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager will oversee a team of Quality Leads and Inspectors supporting a 24/7 manufacturing operation. This individual will be expected to maintain a regular presence across both day and night shifts, including periodic early morning engagement to connect with outgoing and incoming teams, ensuring consistency, accountability, and strong communication across the operation.
Key responsibilities include managing SQF programs, HACCP systems, certification audits, CAPA processes, document control, root cause investigations, quality metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will leverage Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, SQC, and other quality methodologies to reduce variation, improve profitability, minimize scrap and customer returns, and achieve world-class quality performance.
This individual will also serve as a key customer-facing representative, partnering with customers, auditors, engineering teams, and plant leadership to drive quality excellence and support business growth.
