Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a Quality/Risk Director to lead hospital-wide quality management, driving performance improvement and regulatory compliance across the organization.

The role collaborates with diverse stakeholders to monitor patient care quality, oversee risk management activities, and ensure adherence to accrediting standards. A strong leader with healthcare quality experience is essential for success in this critical position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field preferred.
• License or Certification as required by state regulations.
• Experience in Quality and/or Risk Management with primary responsibility for performance improvement and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, accrediting bodies, hospital policies, and procedures; develop and maintain quality assessment and improvement programs.
• Assess compliance with federal, state, and industry standards; coordinate surveys and provide organizational education on regulations.
• Use applications (PatCom, UDS, ORYX, Press Ganey) to identify improvements, generate reports, and access external data for performance insights.
• Maintain hospital plans including Provision of Care/Scope of Services, Leadership, Information Management, Utilization Review, Infection Control, and Patient Safety; oversee risk management activities.
• Coordinate review, development, and implementation of hospital policies; communicate with departments to resolve patient concerns.
