Job summary

Encompass Health Corporation seeks a Quality/Risk Director to oversee hospital-wide quality management, drive performance improvement, and ensure regulatory compliance. This role partners with leadership and clinical teams to enhance patient care, safety, and outcomes.

The position emphasizes collaboration, staff development, and using data to identify opportunities for improvement across departments while supporting a values‑driven culture and day‑one benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare or a related field is preferred.
• License or Certification as required by state regulations.
• Experience in Quality and/or Risk Management with performance improvement and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, accrediting bodies, and hospital policies.
• Develop, implement, and maintain quality assessment and improvement programs.
• Assess compliance with federal, state, and industry standards; coordinate surveys.
• Use tools (PatCom, UDS, ORYX, Press Ganey) to identify improvements and generate reports.
• Maintain hospital plans for Care/Scope of Services, Leadership, Information Management, Utilization Review, Infection Control, Patient Safety; oversee risk management and incident reporting.
• Coordinate the review, development, and implementation of hospital policies.
• Communicate with departments to coordinate care and resolve patient concerns.
• Celebrate the accomplishments of our dedicated employees.
