Blue Ridge Care is seeking a Quality Resource Nurse to support hospice and palliative care teams in Virginia. This role ensures regulatory compliance, chart accuracy, and ongoing staff education while coordinating supplies and infection control.

The position requires an LPN license in Virginia, CHPLN preferred, and at least 3 years of clinical nursing in hospice or palliative care; travel across the service area may be required.

Qualifications

• Virginia LPN license is required.
• At least 3 years of hospice or palliative care nursing experience.
• Strong knowledge of hospice care principles and regulations.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency in EMR systems and educational technology.

Responsibilities

• Administer immunizations and screenings for employee health.
• Serve as EMR administrator with staff training and troubleshooting.
• Educate staff on compliance standards and documentation.
• Conduct chart reviews and provide improvement feedback.
• Identify trends to support education and performance improvement.
• Support HOPE compliance and staff training.
• Assist with supply management, survey calls, and incident recording.
• Provide education, orientation support, and participate in QAPI meetings.
• Deliver direct patient care as assigned (LPN supervision under RN).
• Practice infection control and maintain confidentiality.
• Manage time to minimize overtime and travel as needed.
