Job summary

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) Medicaid and CHIP Services (MCS) division seeks a highly qualified candidate to fill the position of Program Specialist VI to serve as the Quality Report Specialist within the Quality Reporting Unit in the Quality Data Analytics and Reporting Department.

The Quality Report Specialist reports to the Quality Reporting Unit Manager and performs advanced (senior-level) consultative and technical work supporting CMS required reports, data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
• At least three years’ full-time work experience with Medicaid, long-term services and supports programs, or health and human services programs required.
• Experience with health care quality measurement, federal or state reporting, compliance reporting, or performance monitoring required.
• Experience preparing reports for federal submission preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reporting and Federal Compliance: coordinates development, review and submission of federally required reports within timelines.
• Data Analysis and Performance Monitoring: analyzes data, builds dashboards, and translates data into insights.
• Stakeholder Coordination and Collaboration: coordinates with internal divisions and external partners on reporting inputs.
• Process Improvement and Quality Assurance: supports standardized reporting processes and quality checks.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
