Job summary

BAC is seeking a Quality Engineer Project Leader to drive quality readiness for the startup and ongoing operation of a new manufacturing facility. You will lead the quality workstream from planning and validation through launch, ramp-up, stabilization, and handoff to the site team, partnering across functions to meet BAC standards and customer requirements.

You will establish the site quality management system, develop control plans, and ensure supplier readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality, manufacturing, or related technical field.
• Experience with quality management systems, ISO 9001, process validation, and supplier quality in manufacturing.
• Experience supporting plant startups and complex readiness initiatives is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality readiness from planning through launch, ramp-up, and stabilization.
• Develop quality procedures, work instructions, and training for workforce readiness.
• Establish and validate the site quality management system in line with ISO 9001 and BAC standards.
• Develop and validate quality plans, inspection methods, and process capability before production.
• Lead supplier quality readiness and coordinate customer approvals for launch.
• Define and monitor quality KPIs to guide decisions and improvements.
• Validate SAP quality processes and related workflows like NCN/DMN/Turnbacks.
• Build site quality capability and transition validated processes to the site quality leader.
