Job summary

Contemporary Amperex Technology USA Inc. (CATU) is seeking a Customer Quality Engineer to drive quality across customer issues in automotive and energy storage.

The role focuses on coordinating with customers and internal teams, applying quality tools, and supporting product development and manufacturing improvements on site in Michigan. The ideal candidate has a engineering degree, strong quality and project management background, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or above in relevant engineering fields preferred.
• Quality and project management background required.
• Familiar with automotive and battery industries and related standards.
• Strong communication and coordination skills; ability to solve complex problems.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of quality toolbox (8D, RCA, FMEA).

Responsibilities

• Handle quality-related activities directly from customers and coordinate with parties on issues.
• Manage status of customer quality issues and update the electronic system timely.
• Promote process quality improvement and assist in new product development to avoid issues.
• Coordinate with project managers to align project processes.
• Participate in product development, industrialization, and supplier quality plans.
• Develop quality assurance plans and identify quality risks.
• Assist in material selection/modification and disseminate materials analysis methods.
• Monitor process activity, project progress, and SR reviews; upgrade major quality issues.
