Job summary

Contemporary Amperex Technology Kentucky (CATK) is seeking multiple Supplier Quality Engineers to oversee production-line quality control and coordinate with Chinese suppliers. You will manage material quality issues, implement containment plans, and drive corrective actions with suppliers to ensure products meet stringent standards.

Ideal candidates have a background in vehicle manufacturing supplier quality, proficiency with FMEA/FTA/8D and Six Sigma, and strong data analysis abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in supplier quality control in vehicle manufacturing.
• Familiar with ISO9000, TS16949, and VDA quality systems.
• Proficient in quality analysis tools (FMEA, FTA, 8D, Six Sigma, SPC).
• Strong data analysis and reporting abilities.
• Proficient with office software (MS Office).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be able to work full-time in person.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate resolution of quality problems on production sites for new materials and parts.
• Serve as the on-site quality interface and develop containment plans for non-conforming materials.
• Collaborate with suppliers for root cause analysis and corrective actions, ensuring timely verification.
• Contribute to APQP and PPAP processes to manage risks and approvals for new parts.
• Support customer audits and assist related departments during audits.
• Train SQE team on quality standards and best practices.
