Job summary

Contemporary Amperex Technology (USA), Inc. is a U.S. battery manufacturing subsidiary of CATL. The role focuses on supplier access, APQP development, PPAP approvals, and managing material quality issues. You will work with global teams to improve supplier performance and drive quality improvements across operations.

The position emphasizes collaboration with automotive/battery industry partners, adherence to VDA/IATF16949, and continuous development within a growing organization.

Qualifications

• Experience in the automotive or battery industry with quality and supply chain management preferred.
• Familiarity with VDA & IATF16949 system management, master 8D and QC methods; APQP/PPAP/SPC/MSA/FMEA tools knowledge.
• Chinese proficiency is a plus for collaboration with global teams and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Review new supplier access and introduce high-quality suppliers.
• Complete APQP development for new projects and secure PPAP approval.
• Analyze and address incoming material quality issues.
• Confirm supplier quality performance and manage corrective actions.
• Coach suppliers and run quality improvement projects.
• Follow up on material issues at site.
