Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a talented Manager Quality 1 to lead quality initiatives on-site in the Los Angeles area. Responsibilities include documenting and standardizing tasks, leading represented employees, and driving ISO, LEAN, and QA methods to meet stringent standards.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, team leadership, and the ability to maintain a Secret Clearance. U.S. citizenship is required. On-site work with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 5 years of quality and/or manufacturing experience; Master’s Degree with 3 years; Associates Degree with 7 years; OR 9 years of quality and/or manufacturing experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience with leading teams in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
• Experienced with RCCA techniques.
• Experienced with ISO9001 or AS9100 Quality Management System.
• US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Supporting ISO, LEAN, and Quality initiatives.
• Ability to document and standardize task and efforts.
• Managing represented employees and interacting with Labor Relations.
• Working to company policy, business conduct and standards.
• Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
• Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
• Audit quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
• Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
• Strong communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
