Job summary

The Walsh Group - Walsh Construction & Archer Western is seeking a Quality Manager I for a Federal project in the greater Omaha area. This role oversees QMS implementation, continuous improvement, and project-specific quality requirements to ensure safe, quality, and profitable execution.

The position requires leadership in quality processes, mentoring staff, and coordinating with operations, clients, and investigators. Travel is limited; a strong QA background is essential.

Qualifications

• AEC Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent related field experience.
• USACE/NAVFAC/NRC Construction Quality Management certification preferred but not required.
• Industry certifications for testing/inspection as required.
• Minimum 7 years of AEC experience, with 3 years in a Quality role.

Responsibilities

• Quality champion for the project(s), ensuring quality of works, materials, documentation and close-out.
• Coaches and trains project staff in quality management principles and project-specific requirements.
• Leads quality processes such as work planning, material management, QIRs, and inspections.
• Establishes and reports KPIs and project QC evaluations for continuous improvement.
• Directs inspection, testing and documentation, coordinating with operations and client.
