Job summary

The Walsh Group is hiring a Quality Manager I for a Federal project in the greater Omaha area. You will implement, improve and execute the QMS and project quality programs, ensuring construction work aligns with contract requirements and company policies.

You will lead and mentor project staff, manage inspections and testing, and report on KPIs while maintaining strong relationships with owners, clients and subcontractors. This is a growth-focused role with exposure across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• AEC Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred or equivalent experience.
• Current USACE/NAVFAC/NRC Construction Quality Management certification preferred but not required.
• Industry certifications for testing and inspection as required.

Responsibilities

• Quality champion for a project or multiple projects, responsible for quality management duties including quality of works, material management, documentation and close-out.
• Coaches, mentors and trains project staff in quality management principles and project-specific requirements.
• Leads and manages quality processes such as work planning, pre-activity meetings, material management, Quality Incident Reports, Lesson Sharing and follow-up inspections.
• Establishes and reports on KPIs and QIRs for project teams to drive continuous improvement.
• Audits project quality programs to identify improvements and ensure compliance.
• Monitors project quality costs and supports risk management to protect profitability.
