Job summary

Qualifications

• AEC/engineering degree or equivalent with related certifications.
• USACE/NAVFAC/NRC Construction Quality Management certification preferred but not required.
• Industry certifications for testing and inspection as required.
• Limited travel for projects as necessary.
• Level 1 QCM certification.
• Minimum 7 years of AEC experience, with 3 years in a quality role.
• Strong communication, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of standards and publications related to job duties.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality management duties for a project or multiple projects, ensuring quality of works, materials, documentation and close-out.
• Coach and mentor project staff in quality principles and procedures.
• Lead quality processes such as work planning, pre-activity meetings, material management, QIRs, and inspections.
• Establish and report KPIs; analyze trends and drive improvements.
• Audit project quality programs and provide feedback to operations and management.
• Direct inspections, testing and documentation; schedule testing with cross-functional teams.
• Develop project-specific inspection/test plans and quality control procedures.
• Support risk management to improve profitability and reduce risk.
• Maintain relationships with owners, clients, subcontractors and design partners.
• Support site safety and monitor quality costs and rework.
