Job summary

GRMC is seeking a Quality & Patient Safety Registered Nurse (RN) to support quality improvement, patient safety, regulatory compliance, data management, and survey readiness. The RN will coordinate projects, assist departments in improving processes, and present data to leaders and the Board as needed.

Working with the Director of Quality, this role spans multiple clinical applications and regulatory portals, ensuring timely submissions, traceable evidence, and measurable improvements in patient

Qualifications

• Current NM or multistate RN license is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, healthcare, quality, or related field preferred.
• Experience with CMS, state, and Joint Commission reporting preferred.
• Experience with MEDITECH or similar EHR systems preferred.
• Quality or patient safety certification (CPHQ/CPPS) obtained within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Collects, abstracts, analyzes, and reports clinical and quality data from multiple sources.
• Creates and maintains Excel trackers and dashboards for performance metrics.
• Investigates data discrepancies and coordinates corrections with IS and vendors.
• Identifies trends and presents findings to leaders and committees.
• Maintains data definitions, audit trails, and supporting evidence.
• Coordinates Joint Commission survey readiness projects and evidence kits.
• Maintains organized regulatory documents and sustainment data.
• Supports mock surveys and onsite survey readiness activities.
• Translates standards into practical work plans with department leaders.
• Ensures CMS/state accreditation readiness and timely submissions.
