Job summary

GILA REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER is seeking a Quality & Patient Safety RN to support data-driven quality improvement and regulatory readiness. You will coordinate projects, analyze metrics, and help translate findings into actionable plans across departments.

Responsibilities include data abstraction from multiple systems, maintaining dashboards, and supporting accreditation activities with a systems-based approach. A current NM RN license and CMS/JCAHO reporting experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current New Mexico or multistate Registered Nurse license required.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, healthcare, quality, health information management, information systems, or related field preferred.
• Experience with CMS, state, and/or Joint Commission reporting and accreditation activities preferred.
• Experience using MEDITECH clinical applications or another electronic health record preferred.
• Quality or patient safety certification, such as CPHQ or CPPS, obtained within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Collect, abstract, validate, analyze, and report clinical, patient safety, regulatory, and performance data.
• Develop and maintain Excel workbooks, trackers, dashboards, and data-validation tools.
• Investigate data discrepancies and coordinate corrections with departments and vendors.
• Identify trends and improvement opportunities and present findings to leaders and committees.
• Coordinate Joint Commission survey readiness projects, tracers, audits and evidence collection.
