Job summary

NR Consulting seeks an experienced Quality Leader to oversee quality operations at a manufacturing facility. You will manage the Quality Management System, supervise inspectors, drive corrective actions, and support audits to improve quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

You will lead CAPA, 8D, A3, 5-Why investigations, maintain PFMEA and Control Plans, monitor FPY and cost of quality, and mentor quality staff while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of manufacturing quality experience.
• 1+ year of experience leading or supervising hourly/non-exempt employees.
• Strong knowledge of QMS/ISO 9001 and audit practices.
• Experience with CAPA, 8D/A3, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, and nonconformance/MRB processes.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings; GD&T preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily quality operations and supervise quality inspectors/technicians.
• Own and maintain the site QMS, including ISO 9001 compliance, audits, documentation, and training.
• Lead CAPA, 8D, A3, 5-Why, and root cause analysis activities.
• Maintain and improve PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA/Gage R&R, and nonconformance processes.
• Monitor quality KPIs including FPY, scrap, rework, customer complaints, and cost of quality.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, customers, and suppliers to resolve quality issues.
• Support NPI, engineering changes, supplier quality, MRB, and corrective actions.
• Ensure calibration and measurement systems meet requirements.
• Develop, coach, and lead quality personnel while promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
