Job summary

Agropur in Minnesota seeks an Laboratory Technician I to support production and quality control by performing microbiological, chemical, and physical tests on raw materials, in-process and finished products. You will maintain records and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring GMP/GLP compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s Degree preferred.
• On-the-job training provided.
• Experience with metric and standard measurement systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in testing and data recording.
• Ability to read SOPs, GLP, GMP, HACCP and related documentation.
• Proficient with Excel, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical and microbiological testing on raw materials, in-process and finished products.
• Document testing results accurately in logs and software.
• Operate, calibrate, clean and maintain lab equipment to quality standards.
• Support GMP, GLP, HACCP compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with root cause analysis for non-conformances and CAPA processes.
• Conduct daily pre-operational evaluations of processing areas and equipment.
• Collaborate with production to resolve quality issues and ensure product consistency.
• Participate in internal audits and implement corrective actions.
