Job summary

Agropur Cooperative in Lake Norden, SD, is seeking a Laboratory Technician I to support production by analyzing a variety of samples using different test methods. The role involves microbiological and/or physical testing on raw materials, in-process products and finished goods.

You will receive samples, determine methods from procedures, document results, and maintain lab equipment. Adherence to GMP/GLP and safety is essential for daily operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s Degree or coursework in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemistry and/or physical sample preparation and testing.
• Responsible for equipment operation, calibration, cleaning and maintenance.
• Analyze and report laboratory data, verifying interpretation with leadership.
• Enter data into log books, spreadsheets and reporting system.
• Perform general lab cleanup and restocking of supplies.
• Follow GMP, GLP, SOPs, MSS and safety rules.
