Job summary

Ultimate Staffing in Tyngsborough, MA is seeking an experienced Quality Mechanical Inspector to ensure machined components meet customer and engineering specifications. You will perform first article, in-process, and final inspections, program and operate CMM equipment, and use precision measuring tools.

The role offers a temp-to-hire path, 1st or 2nd shift, and opportunities to work with advanced inspection technology in a collaborative manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum experience performing inspections in a machining/manufacturing environment.
• Experience programming and operating CMM equipment.
• Strong blueprint reading skills and understanding of GD&T.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections.
• Program and operate CMM equipment.
• Inspect machined parts using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T requirements.
• Document inspection results and maintain quality records.
• Identify and communicate quality concerns and work with manufacturing/engineering to resolve issues.

We're looking for an experienced Quality Mechanical Inspector to join a growing manufacturing team. In this role, you'll ensure machined components meet customer and engineering specifications through detailed inspections, CMM programming, and precision measurements. If you enjoy working with tight tolerances, technical drawings, and advanced inspection equipment, this could be a great fit.

Location: Tyngsborough, MA Pay: $30-$40/hour, depending on experience

Schedule Options:

• 1st Shift: Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM-4:30 PM
• 2nd Shift: Monday-Thursday, 4:00 PM-2:30 AM

What You'll Do

• Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections
• Program and operate CMM equipment
• Inspect machined parts using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other measuring tools
• Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T requirements
• Document inspection results and maintain quality records
• Identify and communicate quality concerns
• Partner with manufacturing and engineering teams to resolve issues
• Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Previous inspection experience in a machining or manufacturing environment
