Job summary

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in quality inspection in manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.
• Familiarity with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
• CMM operation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect material and machined parts for defects.
• Perform dimensional inspection using precision instruments.
• Operate Keyence TM/IM units and CMM (PC-DMIS).
• Conduct first article and in-process inspections.
• Interpret complex engineering blueprints and GD&T.

Great opportunity to join a manufacturing company who has served customers in the Aerospace, Defense, Power Gen, and Medical Tooling Industries for over 40 years! We are seeking a Quality Inspector for this company who specializes in small machined parts. The ideal candidate will be someone with Quality Inspection experience in a manufacturing environment. Must have the ability to use various precision measuring tools (Micro-Hite, Micrometer, Caliper, Comparator, Pins, Thread Gages, etc.). Must be able to read and understand Blueprints. CMM operation experience is a plus. The hours for this position are flexible, you can work 7am-5:30pm Monday-Friday, or 8am-5:30pm, or 7am-4:30pm. Pay depends on experience (may be flexible for right candidate).

We offer a salary: $52,000 - $65,000 per year. Shift: First. Work hours: 7 AM - 5:30 PM. Education: No Degree Required.

Responsibilities

• Visual Inspection on material and/or machining defects
• Dimensional inspection Utilizing Micro-Hite, Micrometers, Comparators, Pins, thread gages, etc.
• Operation of Keyence TM and IM units
• CMM Operation (PC-Dmis)
• First article inspection, In process inspection.
• Interpret complex engineering blueprints
• Understanding of GD&T
• Setup/Operation utilizing SIC laser marking machine
• Utilizing SIC laser marking machine
• Verify work to information listed on associated paperwork.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, shop travelers, routers, and compliance logs
• Follow ISO9001 & AS 9100 standards
