Job summary

James Hardie Building Products Inc. is seeking a Quality Manager for the Peru, IL plant to lead the quality lab, develop technicians, and drive the strategic vision for quality. You’ll optimize structure, processes, and culture to achieve superior product conformance and customer satisfaction.

You will collaborate with plant management on issue resolution, audits, training, and continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to a zero-harm culture and sustainable quality systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Engineering or Quality Management.
• 1+ year of experience in a Quality Engineer or similar role.
• 5+ years of management experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Manages and develops laboratory technicians to ensure QA, QC, and team capability.
• Oversees testing methods, materials inspection, and documentation.
• Leads root cause investigations and implements corrective actions.
• Provides quality reporting to leadership and quality teams.
• Supports continuous improvement initiatives and project work.
