James Hardie Building Products Inc. is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the quality control laboratory and coordinate the development of quality technicians at the Peru, IL plant. You will drive strategic quality direction, improve processes, and ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.

The role emphasizes data-driven problem solving, training, and collaboration with plant management to sustain a Zero Harm culture and a strong quality system across operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field or quality management preferred.
• 1+ years as a Quality Engineer or similar role.
• 5+ years of management experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop laboratory technicians to ensure QA and QC, and team capability.
• Oversee testing methods, materials, and product inspections to meet specifications.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions with tracking of effectiveness.
• Support quality systems, audits, and nonconforming material control.
• Collaborate on continuous improvement projects related to product quality and process efficiency.
