James Hardie Building Products Inc. in Westfield, MA is seeking a CIMS Engineer to drive safe, reliable operations at the finishing plant through practical engineering, Lean improvement, and workforce capability development.

You will work with operators and plant leaders to improve line flow, process stability, quality, and cost performance, deploying HMOS and standardized work while mentoring teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in manufacturing engineering, process improvement, mechanical/troubleshooting, or related field with improvements in safety, quality, throughput, reliability, or cost.
• Experience in continuous or automated manufacturing, with strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of equipment interactions and end-to-end line flow.
• Proficiency in Lean and structured problem solving, leading improvement activities and sustaining changes through standard work.

Responsibilities

• Drive process improvement and mechanical problem solving on finishing lines.
• Lead Lean HMOS deployment: 5S, visual management, standard work, daily management, tier meetings.
