Job summary

The Walsh Group - Walsh Construction & Archer Western in Dallas, TX seeks a Quality Manager I for the DFW project. You will implement and improve the Quality Management System, ensure compliance with contract requirements, and coordinate inspections, testing, and documentation for safe, quality project delivery.

You will coach staff, monitor KPIs, manage risks, review material specs, and collaborate with operations, clients, and subcontractors to drive continuous improvement and project success.

Qualifications

• AEC Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with ICC, NICET certifications.
• USACE/NAVFAC/NRC CQM certification preferred but not required.
• Level 1 QCM certification and 7+ years of AEC experience (3 in quality) required.
• Strong communication, critical thinking and time management skills.
• Knowledge of applicable standards, specs and publications.

Responsibilities

• Quality champion for projects, ensuring quality, material mgmt, and documentation.
• Coach and mentor staff in quality principles and procedures.
• Lead and manage quality processes: planning, meetings, material management, QA/QC testing and inspections.
• Establish KPIs and monitor QIRs for continuous improvement.
• Audit quality programs and report feedback on non-conformances to leadership.
• Direct inspection and testing coordination with operations, labs and clients.
• Develop project-specific inspection/test plans and QC procedures.
