Job summary

Rosenbauer South Dakota Llc is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the Quality Control team at the South Dakota site, ensuring robust processes and sustained product quality through CAPA and preventive actions.

You will collaborate with production, engineering and supply chain, maintain ISO 9001 standards, support NFPA compliance and drive continuous improvement across all stages of the build process for fire apparatus.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in manufacturing related focus required.
• ISO Auditing Certification required.
• 5+ years working in a quality department required.
• Previous experience managing personnel in a production setting preferred.
• Basic understanding of FMEA and Control Plans, with the ability to support risk identification and process control activities.
• Knowledge of a fire apparatus construction and testing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and sustain robust process controls to ensure consistent product quality.
• Establish and develop quality assurance, including inspection plans, testing methods, and acceptance criteria.
• Drive preventive measures by proactively identifying risks through data analysis and process audits.
• Ensure timely and effective resolution of quality issues by leading root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators related to product and process quality, reporting trends and initiating improvements where required.
• Collaborate with production, engineering and supply chain to integrate quality initiatives into all stages of the production process.
• Work closely with RMN, RBM Quality Managers to support CAPA program and drive long-term resolutions.
• Actively participate in Vendor Management with RSD/RBA Supply Chain teams.
• Maintain ISO 9001 standard and support audits.
• Ensure proper documentation, implementation and monitoring of the quality management system.
• Conduct regular internal audits and facilitate external audits by certification bodies.
• Manage and oversee the workflow, scheduling, and output of the Quality Control team.
• Schedule and coordinate internal and 3rd party testing of Apparatus.
• Implement quality control programs to improve quality.
• Maintain training and department knowledge level to ensure compliance with the NFPA and other applicable standards.
• Verify all Quality Control inspections have been completed for each truck, with clear documentation stored in an organized way.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required by the Director of Quality & EHS to meet the needs of the department.
