Job summary

Manitou Group in Madison, SD, seeks a Quality Supervisor to lead the Quality Assurance Technician team and manage daily inspection workflows, calibration programs, and product validation processes on the shop floor.

The role balances 40% people leadership with 60% hands-on quality engineering support, engaging technicians and serving as escalation point for complex issues while driving safety and ISO-aligned quality practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a manufacturing quality environment, with supervisory or lead roles.
• Strong leadership, mentoring and supervision of technical staff.
• Knowledge of quality inspection procedures and metrology basics.
• Experience managing schedules, resources and calibration systems.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace or MS Office.
• Ability to handle production-floor quality issues and communicate with non-technical staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead Quality Assurance Technicians on a daily basis, including training and scheduling to ensure coverage for inspections.
• Direct daily validation of incoming product quality and ensure inspections are completed per schedule.
• Administer the site calibration program and coordinate tool calibration and testing.
• Act as the gatekeeper for quality on the shop floor, directing containment, rework and release for non-conforming materials.
• Maintain safety and quality documentation and facilitate internal audits.
• Monitor daily quality metrics, update KPI boards, and drive improvements in inspection efficiency.
• Collaborate with Production and Engineering to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Provide technical resource support to the team for complex inspection questions.
