Job summary

PPG located in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Quality Manager to bridge Operations, Process Engineering and customer-facing teams. This onsite role reports to the Plant Manager and drives QMS improvements while leading investigations and corrective actions.

The successful candidate will manage quality performance, support data systems (SAP, LIMS, ETQ Reliance), and coordinate internal audits, training, and continuous improvement initiatives to uphold quality culture across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of quality management experience, preferred in automotive industry.
• 3+ years of people management or supervisory experience.
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
• Proficiency in English (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement of the QMS and certifications, embedding requirements in product realization processes.
• Ensure consistent measurement and reporting of site quality performance.
• Lead internal and external quality incident investigations and ensure effective corrective actions.
• Use data to lead site quality improvement programs to improve yield, productivity, and cost of non-conformance.
• Facilitate/lead in-house customer and supplier visits.
• Support and troubleshoot data systems including SAP, LIMS, and ETQ Reliance.
• Plan and deliver site internal audit program and document control system.
• Collaborate with technical, Optima and R&D teams to improve quality in first right capability.
• Gate keeper in site level quality MOC and New Product Launches.
• Provide quality leadership and coaching for the site and promote quality culture.
