Job summary

PPG Industries is seeking a QMS Engineer to own and transform quality systems across global operations. You’ll design, implement, and continuously improve quality processes that raise standards in manufacturing, testing, and delivery.

You will lead data analytics, drive Lean and Six Sigma improvements, and ensure IATF 16949 compliance through audits and CAPA investigations. Collaboration with R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and EHS is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or Materials Science.
• 3+ years in a quality engineering role within manufacturing.
• Solid knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
• Lean or Six Sigma certification preferred (Green/Black Belt).

Responsibilities

• Own the QMS design, implementation, and continuous improvement.
• Lead data-driven quality improvements using KPIs.
• Ensure IATF 16949 compliance through audits and gap assessments.
• Lead CAPA investigations using 8D, FMEA, and root cause analysis.
• Develop and deliver quality training programs for shop floor.
• Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and EHS.
• Act as voice of the customer, manage complaints with urgency.
