Job summary

Oldcastle APG, Inc. is seeking a Quality Manager to oversee QC functions for Concrete Hardscape and Masonry plants in the Tracy and Stockton region. The role focuses on process inspections, final product checks, personnel scheduling, and data-driven improvements to meet quality goals on schedule and within budget.

The position requires expertise in ASTM/CSA specs, production methods, and leadership. Travel up to 50% and bilingual ability are preferred; relocation or onsite work at Tracy/Stockton

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ASTM and CSA specifications related to concrete products and raw materials.
• Understanding of strategic planning, resource allocation, and leadership techniques.
• Familiarity with production methods and coordinating people and resources.
• Experience with quality control concepts, costs, and process improvements.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and coordinate with multiple sites.
• Bilingual preferred (English, plus French or Spanish).
• Experience with change leadership and program implementation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee formula and mix design accuracy at plants and maintain records.
• Develop and maintain quality formulas to optimize cost and quality.
• Establish standards for QC processes and QA programs.
• Monitor QA testing and report updates to leadership.
• Coordinate testing for finished goods and raw materials.
• Assist product managers and plants with line studies.
• Evaluate raw materials and trial new products.
• Identify opportunities to improve products by adjusting formulas.
• Train QC personnel and machine operators as needed.
• Perform root-cause analysis for poor test results and complaints.
