Job summary

Celgard, LLC, located in Charlotte, NC, seeks a Quality Manager to oversee QA processes and the quality team in a 24/7 manufacturing setting. The role ensures products meet internal and external requirements and reports to the Sr. Director, Global Quality.

You will lead quality engineers and lab staff, drive CAPA, APQP/PPAP activities, and align Celgard systems with automotive industry standards, while coordinating with production and process engineering on improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field is required.
• ASQ certifications (CQE, CQA, CQM/OE) preferred.
• 7+ years’ experience in quality systems in manufacturing; automotive preferred.
• ISO 9001 knowledge; IATF 16949 strongly preferred.
• Experience leading internal and external audits; APQP/PPAP knowledge.
• Strong statistics, SPC, RCA; Minitab experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Quality Department team and 24/7 manufacturing quality operations.
• Troubleshoot quality issues, drive CAPA, and ensure effective corrective actions.
• Develop and implement QMS; support new coating/slitting line and testing equipment.
• Lead internal and external audits; ensure compliance with APQP/PPAP.
• Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, and Process Engineering to improve quality.
• Drive lean/Six Sigma projects and monitor process capability.
