Job summary

Insight Global is hiring a Quality Manager for a 6-month contract-to-hire in Phoenix, AZ. You will lead quality initiatives in a prefabrication facility, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and internal standards while driving continuous improvement.

You will supervise a small team of quality technicians, conduct root-cause analyses, implement CAPA, and partner with production leadership to improve overall product quality.

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years of quality management experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environments.
• Experience conducting root cause investigations and CAPA implementation.
• Experience interacting with customers including managing complaints and nonconformance investigations.
• Experience creating and maintaining quality system documentation.
• Experience presenting metrics and trends to leadership and customers.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and build requirements.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Experience managing a team of quality technicians or inspectors.
• Experience in prefabrication, modular construction, structural steel, construction materials, or industrial manufacturing environments.
• AQ certifications such as CQE or CQM preferred.

Job Description

An Insight Global customer in the industrial manufacturing and prefabrication construction industry is seeking to hire a Quality Manager on a 6-month contract-to-hire basis. This individual will be responsible for leading quality initiatives within a prefabrication facility while ensuring compliance with customer specifications, internal quality standards, and manufacturing requirements. The Quality Manager will serve as the primary quality representative for both internal operations and customer-facing quality discussions, driving continuous improvement efforts and supporting quality-related decision making across the facility.

This role will manage a small team of quality technicians and work closely with production leadership to investigate quality concerns, perform root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and improve overall product quality. Daily responsibilities include reviewing quality data, managing customer quality documentation packages, resolving process and material-related quality issues, conducting audits, maintaining quality system documentation, and supporting production teams with quality compliance efforts.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment and be comfortable balancing both office-based and production floor responsibilities. Approximately 70% of the role will involve analyzing quality data, creating reports, participating in customer conference calls, and compiling quality documentation, while the remaining 30% will involve supporting operations on the manufacturing floor. Strong communication skills are critical, as this individual will regularly interact with customers, operations leadership, and production personnel.

Skills and Requirements

2-3+ years of quality management, quality engineering, quality assurance, or manufacturing quality experience.Experience working within a manufacturing, fabrication, industrial, or production environment.Experience conducting root cause investigations and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).Experience interacting directly with customers including managing customer complaints, product quality issues, and nonconformance investigations.Experience creating, maintaining, and managing quality system documentation.Experience presenting quality metrics, trends, and analysis to leadership teams and customers.Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, specifications, and build requirements.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.Experience managing a team of quality technicians or inspectors.Experience within prefabrication, modular construction, structural steel, construction materials, or industrial manufacturing environments.Proficiency with Navisworks Manage, Revit, or Inventor.Ability to review and navigate 3D models and construction/manufacturing design files.ASQ certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Manager (CQM), or similar credentials.
