Job summary

Bauer Consulting Group, Inc. in Oxford, AL is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the quality function in manufacturing. You will supervise inspectors, drive MRB decisions, manage the gage lab, and continuously improve the QMS to ISO 9001 standards.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree in engineering or related field, 3+ years in manufacturing quality, and strong RCCA/problem-solving skills with GD&T/MIL-SPEC knowledge. This role emphasizes Lean/CI tools and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Engineering (or related field) and knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100.
• At least 3 years of experience in a Manufacturing Quality position.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, Kanban, 5-Whys, Ishikawa diagrams.
• Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawing, blue prints, and schematics. Knowledge of Geometric Tolerance and Dimensioning (GD&T) and MIL-SPEC.
• Expert in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train a team of Quality inspectors performing receiving and in-process inspections.
• Lead cross-functional Material Review Board team to evaluate and determine disposition of non-conforming material
• Manage gage lab to include calibration and tracking of all inspection gages
• Maintain and improve QMS in accordance with ISO 9001
