Job summary

Bauer Consulting Group, Inc. (Remarkable Talent) in Oxford, Alabama is seeking a Sr. Quality Engineer to lead quality initiatives for manufacturing processes including forging and CNC machining.

The candidate will develop control plans, PFMEAs, and inspection procedures, while ensuring compliance with customer and government standards. Ideal applicants have 3+ years of quality engineering experience in manufacturing, GD&T proficiency, NDT, Gage R&R studies, and knowledge of FAR/DFARS and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• At least 3 years’ experience as a Quality Engineer in a Manufacturing environment.
• Experience with forging and CNC machining operations, GD&T proficiency, and programming in Polyworks.
• Experience with Non-Destructive Testing, Gage R&R study.
• Experience with FAR & DFARS.
• Strong working knowledge of ISO9001 and AS9100 and SPC.

Responsibilities

• Create Control Plans and supporting PFMEA's for all product lines. Create and modify Inspection instructions.
• Liaison with Government Quality Assurance representative. Ensure products conform to Customer and Government standards and specifications.
• Lead Root Cause Corrective Actions for non-conforming parts and coordinate Materials Review Board activities.
• Drive Continuous Improvement and Lean manufacturing initiatives: Six Sigma, 5S, Kanban, Kaizen, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, Pareto charts.
• Perform RFQ and Contract review to ensure customer Quality requirements are documented and communicated to Manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of ISO9001 and AS9100 standards and Statistical process Controls
