Job summary

Gilder Search Group seeks an experienced Quality Manager to oversee QA/QC in a manufacturing setting. You will lead the Quality Management System, ensure customer requirements are met, and drive continuous improvement across processes.

The role requires ISO 9001 knowledge, CMM and GD&T expertise, and strong leadership and communication skills. The position is on-site in a manufacturing environment with safety protocols in place.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience leading manufacturing quality teams.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systems.
• Experience with CMMs, dimensional inspection, GD&T, and blueprint reading.
• Knowledge of SPC, PPAP, APQP, and root cause analysis.
• Strong problem-solving, leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficient with computers and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the company’s Quality Management System and support ISO compliance.
• Coordinate internal and external quality audits.
• Develop and implement inspection procedures and quality standards.
• Lead and train quality inspectors and production employees.
• Perform dimensional inspections using CMMs and other measuring equipment.
• Support PPAP, APQP, SPC, gauge certification, and related quality activities.
• Investigate quality issues and implement corrective actions and process improvements.
• Work with customers and suppliers to resolve quality concerns.
• Partner with Manufacturing and other departments to improve product quality and processes.
• Participate in production and product launch activities.
• Stop production when necessary to address significant quality or safety concerns.
• Maintain accurate quality records and ensure compliance with company and industry requirements.

Position Summary

Work Environment

This position works in both office and manufacturing environments. The manufacturing area may involve loud noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures. All required safety procedures and PPE must be followed.
