Job summary

Pacific International Executive Search seeks a Quality Manager for a flagship Dallas–Fort Worth area site. You will lead QA/QC, ensure CGMP compliance, and drive the Quality Management System while partnering with Operations, Regulatory, and Commercial teams.

You will manage a quality team, oversee audits, CAPA, deviations, and OOS investigations, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, advanced degree preferred.
• 7+ years in a CGMP-regulated manufacturing environment (pharma, excipient, API, food, or specialty chemicals).
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing quality teams or systems.
• Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, CGMP, SQF, and QMS.
• Hands-on analytical lab experience bridging chemistry with quality leadership.
• Proven success in audits, regulatory compliance, CAPA, investigations, and continuous improvement.
• Experience with structured root cause methods (5 Whys, Fishbone, 8D).
• Excellent communication and cross-functional influence across manufacturing, quality, commercial, and leadership teams.
• ASQ CQE, CQA, CMQ/OE certifications and Lean Six Sigma experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a team of quality professionals; promote collaboration.
• Drive customer complaint investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Provide leadership for laboratory operations, testing, and product release.
• Analyze quality metrics, identify risks, and drive improvements.
• Champion use of quality tools and data analytics; sustain improvements.
• Maintain presence across the facility to engage employees at all levels.

Job description

Pacific International has been exclusively retained by a confidential specialty chemicals and advanced materials manufacturer to identify a Quality Manager for a flagship manufacturing site in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. This individual will serve as the site's quality leader, overseeing both Quality Assurance and Quality Control while driving compliance, customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration across the facility.

This is a highly visible leadership position that requires a hands-on quality professional who can balance technical expertise, regulatory compliance, and people leadership within a CGMP manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all site Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) activities, ensuring compliance with applicable quality, regulatory, and customer requirements.
• Own the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the site's Quality Management System, including ISO 9001, SQF, CGMP, and related standards.
• Serve as the site's final authority for product quality decisions, investigations, and quality-related escalations.
• Oversee Change Management (MOC), CAPA, Deviations, Out-of-Specification (OOS) investigations, and root cause analysis programs.
• Lead customer, regulatory, and certification audits while maintaining a constant state of audit readiness.
• Partner closely with Operations, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to ensure quality remains integrated into business decisions.
• Manage and develop a team of quality professionals while fostering a collaborative, service-oriented culture.
• Drive customer complaint investigations and implement sustainable corrective actions that strengthen customer relationships and business performance.
• Provide leadership for laboratory operations, ensuring timely testing, product release, and safe laboratory practices.
• Analyze and trend quality metrics, identify risks, and proactively implement improvement initiatives.
• Champion continuous improvement efforts through effective use of quality tools, data analytics, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Maintain a strong presence across the manufacturing facility, building credibility and engagement with employees at all levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or a related technical discipline; advanced degree preferred.
• 7+ years of experience within a CGMP-regulated manufacturing environment, including pharmaceutical, excipient, API, food, or specialty chemical production.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing quality teams, laboratory personnel, or quality systems.
• Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, CGMP, SQF, and quality management systems.
• Hands-on analytical laboratory experience and the ability to bridge technical chemistry knowledge with quality leadership.
• Proven success leading audits, regulatory compliance programs, investigations, CAPA processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience utilizing structured root cause methodologies such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, 8D, or similar problem-solving frameworks.
• Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to build partnerships across manufacturing, quality, commercial, and leadership teams.
• Demonstrated ability to lead change, challenge the status quo, and improve organizational performance.
• ASQ certifications (CQE, CQA, CMQ/OE) and Lean Six Sigma experience are preferred.
