Job description

Quality System Manager - Specialty Chemicals

Our client is a global supplier of a wide variety of specialty chemicals, ingredients and materials used in numerous manufacturing applications. They required an experienced Quality professional to implement improvement projects and systems while maintaining ISO and other certifications. This is a full-time, onsite role working with a collaborative, dynamic team at a successful, expanding organization.

Responsibilities
  • Regularly monitor and report key operating and quality related metrics.
  • Collaborate with management to ensure key Quality objectives are met.
  • Lead monthly meetings to discuss Quality objectives with other internal groups while updating any changes per ISO requirements.
  • Supervise a small number of Quality Specialists.
  • Identify opportunities for quality improvements and implement tactics to embed improvements in procedures and policies.
  • Ensure that customer claims are satisfactorily satisfied and that damaged or non-performing materials are processed appropriately.
  • Prepare data-based reports and present to business leadership.
  • Collaborate effectively with Purchasing, Logistics, Customer Service, Sales and other company functions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Business or related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of Quality Management experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Previous supervisory experience highly desirable.
  • Expertise in ISO certification and audits.
  • Experience in the chemical industry is preferred.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems.
  • A "quality mindset" with respect to operations.
